This project involved the design, supply and install of an electrical panel for the control of an alkali storage tank system. This controlled road tanker filling and storage tank batching consisted of 1No ammonia, 1No caustic soda and 1No caustic potash storage tanks.

The system was controlled by a Siemens s7-1200 Plc, incorporating dry run protection of all pumps. The project also included tank heating for the caustic storage, scrubber system for the ammonia fumes and a demin water system for IBC blend batch filing. It was interlocked with a high and low tank gauging system to prevent over fill and heater control. A stop monitoring system was also incorporated into the system with remote estop stations to shut down the process in the event of an emergency.
