Head of Communications & Campaigns – leading Charity – London – £50,000
Leading charity which as firmly put its ’cause’ onto the political agenda in the past few years, seeks to a hire a talented PR for a brand new role!
Leading a team of 25 people and working closely with around 50 skilled and committed staff in Policy, Research, Campaigns, Public Affairs, Media, Brand, Internal Comms and Design, you will deliver an effective, well researched, integrated communications strategy that will support the rest of the business and continue to see its ’cause’ placed front of mind in both the media and within government.
This new role will report into the Director of Communications and Policy and will focus on ensuring the team are the most effective campaigns and communications team in the charity sector! It’s a big ambition but everyone is backing it and the subject matter is so ‘hot’ that it is highly achievable.
The role will see you aligning teams to ensure best practice and quality output, securing cross-divisional buy in and company wide narrative. You’ll work with fundraising teams, digital teams and HR, in fact you’ll touch on every division and department in the charity to make sure the correct messages are being spread in the right places.
What’s needed:
- Impressive eight year + PR background, ideally with public sector or charity experience
- Honed understanding of integrated communications strategies
- Ability to work across different teams, with different agendas and getting them on board
- Excellent understanding of policy making
- Ability to effectively manage a large team, understanding what drives and motivates people
- Up to date knowledge and genuine interest in consumer affairs
