Director – PR division of integrated agency – London – Consumer brands – £80-100k + bens
AWESOME opportunity for an experienced Associate Director or current agency Director to join a continually growing, continually award-winning continually “talk-of- the-town” agency with a fantastic culture of breeding industry players and producing creative cut-through work that sets them apart from the rest.
Part of a large creative group which incorporates advertising, production, pure play digital, content, PR, experiential and social media, this role is different to other Directorial positions becuase you will truely manage accounts that are outside the PR realm…. while you’ll be based under the PR P&L you’ll be working on above the line clients as much as you will PR ones. This is a chance for you to really spread your wings and as such the client is only looking for candidates who have experience of working on integrated clients or at the last on inter-agency basis in order that they have the understaning of other marketing disciplines.
The role will see you being involved in every aspect of the business:
- To contribute to resource planning, income to salary management and client profitability across the business, and help deliver strong margins. To help plan and monitor agency costs and expenditure
- Be a new business driver for the agency; to attract, pitch and close significant new business.
- To work as a catalyst for agency growth within the Group, working with Group colleagues to deliver both financial growth and great quality integrated work. To be a trusted and inspirational counsel for modern PR and earned media within the Group, helping colleagues and Group companies deliver more creative, more effective campaigns.
- Manage a host of big brand clients, exceeding client expections and inspiring the team around you to do great work, all the time.
- To motivate a team who are already really proud to work at this agency, but to make them the best communicators and comms professionals they can possibly be
They need:
- A first class account handler, someone who can inspire their clients and their teams to deliver industry defining, exciting, challenging work.
- Someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and be hands on with clients and media. Equally you will need to be a trusted counsel for CEOs and an inspiring lead for brand managers. You will enjoy working closely with a really talented team, all of whom share your ambition to do the best and most effective work possible.
- Strong business development skills, and a hunger to develop a growing client portfolio to be proud of. You’ll be capable (over time) of converting a £20k project client into a £200k retainer
- Experience and understanding of integrated PR work; experience of working within a Group environment / closely with ad agencies, digital agencies and content business. You will be confident and calm in working with senior people across these disciplines
- Around 10 years experience in PR!
