Communications Manager – In house for Arts/Culture Association I £28-31K I London
This lovely Communication Manager role is for an extremely interesting Association, that sits within the arts and culture sector, though sector experience is definitely not needed to be able to apply for this role! The role is to work within a small team of 8 people, based in Old Street. The Association has been running for nearly 100 years and has been growing from strength to strength with their member subscriptions. Purely funded by membership alone, this Communications Manager role is imperative to ensure these members are happy and informed of current news, across varying channels and to of course attract new members!
The position is a lovely mix of PR, marketing, events, digital and social media. PR will include consumer, corporate and trade. You will ideally have knowledge and experience of all disciplines, though not imperative. The marketing will entail anything from newsletters, brochures, content for the website and event material. There is a specific annual event that the Association organises which attracts 18k people, part of your role will of course to be to support the event with material and PR. The current website is currently in the process of discussion to have an overhaul, which you will be responsible for managing. Social media is currently limited, therefore this position entails content creation and delivery across all social channels – Instagram being the main platform currently.
The client is very down to earth, with the office being a casual, warm, fun place to work. The associations members are elite, eccentric, passionate individuals, therefore you will have integrity and be a great communicator who would hopefully have an interest in the field they work in and the association represents.
The ideal candidate will be prepared to roll their sleeves up and really improve the way they communicate to their members and the outside world, but also bring the association and members closer together in all communication channels. This is a new role within the business, so you have all the autonomy you need to make this role your own and really make some great noticeable changes to the association. They are extremely excited about this hire, looking for someone equally passionate and enthusiastic who is a team player!
