Associate Director – Corporate I £50-70k I London
My client has won consultancy of the year and numerous other awards over recent years, always growing and striving to be the best middle sized agency in London! They are currently looking for an exemplary senior talent with a passion for corporate communications and proven abilities in client, team and campaign management, operating at a senior level. This is a Senior Account Director or more likely, an Associate Director, ‘Client Services’ role, with experience agency-side or in-house, to join a progressive, industry-beating team. This particular candidate is needed to have a strong interest in the client servicing side.
The candidate will be a trusted counsellor, who can work with their peers, guiding, encouraging and generally supporting them with their expertise, with ensuring campaigns are delivered to the clients expectations and understanding the client’s business. You will need to be business savvy, highly organised, a stickler for flawless execution, focused on delivery, keen to participate in new business and enjoy the opportunity to make creative and strategic contributions to deliver world class client programmes.
The successful candidate will also be encouraged to play an active role in media strategy and media campaign execution. The corporate team is a tight-knit, relatively small team which means all members work fluidly to deliver the best for clients. The corporate practice is amongst the best – and fastest-growing – in the business, with decades of experience of defending, building or changing the reputations of their clients, amongst domestic and global audiences alike.
Key parts of this role will include:
Client management
The successful candidate would work with the wider team to help manage, maintain and grow client relationships with expert counsel, powerful programme creation and flawless execution including:
- Helping to manage the client budget
- Providing expert client counsel, managing client expectations against results, troubleshooting and ensuring flawless execution of day-to-day client activities
- Be heavily involved in managing daily client communications and reporting on industry developments, programme results, progress against KPIs
Understanding client’s business
- Maintain a big-picture strategic view of your client
- Show understanding of client’s business goals and how PR can help achieve those goals
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of client competitor activity and threats to their business
Together with the above, the ideal person for the role will have a substantial amount of years’ experience working in world-class comms agencies or in top tier in-house press teams. You could come from another marketing discipline or an agency with an integrated background as long as you understand corporate reputation and how to engage successfully with clients.
As a minimum you will currently be a Senior Account Director, thrive under pressure, proactive, used to working across a number of projects in large teams, handling events, campaigns, writing newsworthy copy, being a day-to-day client contact and managing teams. My client is known for being brave and so you should also be prepared to challenge the status quo in their work.
