Account Manager – mix of b2b & b2c – work directly with national journalist founders – £30k – E. London
Want to learn from the best? This newish agency set up by national news journalists is looking for a new team member at AM level who would relish the chance to do lots of writing and learn the craft of proper media relations from the ones in the know.
The agency has a great culture – it’s grown up and operates a flat structure;basically everyone gets involved. The clients are a real mix of corporate reputation remits and creative consumer campaigns – it’s the best of both worlds and consists of fitness brands, gadgets and gizmos to a huge plc in the property industry – variety is the spice of life here.
Based in the East End in trend, warehouse-style offices, the agency offers a number of services in and around PR – they are particularly well known for creating engaging content through both photography and video / film – in fact other PR agencies often call on them for their expertise in this area; being ex national journalists they understand how to make a story pop!
The Account Manager role will see you being front line from day one: lots of client involvement, plenty of scope to write, write, write and of course sell in, as well as manage the day to day projects and associated budgets. You’ll get lots of close support but you’ll also get much more responsibility than you would in a different sort of agency – are you ready for the challenge?
You’ll need a min of two years PR experience, ideally in an agency or perhaps as an ex journalist yourself. You’ll be a fantastic writer – this element is non-negotiable – and of course you’ll be spot on in terms of what makes a story both from a b2b and a b2c perspective. Your background can be either corp comms or consumer pr but you must be up for doing both.
