Account Manager – B2B Property I London I £30-35K
My lovely small but expanding, dynamic, West End-based communications agency is currently looking for an Account Manager or Senior Account Executive to work on the corporate and b2b PR side of the agency. The agency specializes in communications (PR and marketing) for districts and destinations, e.g. town centre regeneration and neighbourhood repositioning, predominantly for property companies.
The chosen candidate must have substantial agency-side experience in property and the built environment. Experience in consumer and/or destination communications is a bonus, but not essential.
Excellent contacts in the property trade press and the national property and business press is a must, with strong evidence of relationships with key journalists and editors.
Lots of energy and initiative, as well as excellent PR and account management skills are crucial.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement impactful PR campaigns for clients
- Develop new concepts and ideas for client PR campaigns
- Compile appropriate press lists
- Draft “journalist quality” press releases; deliver website content and news reports tailored to different audiences
- Confident outreach to target press to secure coverage
- Develop and deliver social media plans for client accounts
- Work closely with colleagues to identify where PR opportunities coincide with marketing campaigns to maximise coverage
- Develop and delivery communications with key stakeholders on client accounts
- Some issues management
- Client relationship/account management
- Develop and deliver b2b events for clients, e.g. trade shows
- Develop opinion pieces for trade press for both the agency and clients
- Develop evaluation processes for PR campaigns, including KPIs, track results and present back to clients
- Client reporting
- Management of budgets for client projects
- Actively participate in new business development including proposal writing
- Produce draft fee and expense budgets for new business proposals
- Deliver all work on time and within budget
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Ability to plan and implement impactful PR campaigns effectively
- Excellent publicity skills, a strong understanding of the media, editorial requirements and what makes a good story
- Understanding of key media channels and titles, ability recognise media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad spectrum of media
- Excellent writing skills, with ability to adapt style for different audiences
- Experience in social media planning and management is essential
- An understanding of marketing / marketing channels
- Experience in managing unexpected PR issues
- A creative and innovative thinker
- Excellent attention to detail
- Budget management
- Some line management responsibility essential
- A first class communicator with a can-do attitude and lots of initiative
