Account Executive – PR & Marketing I £21-25K I London
My client is an expanding, dynamic, West End-based communications agency. The agency specializes in strategic communications (PR and marketing) for districts and destinations, predominantly for property companies, Councils and Estates. This exciting role is for an Account Executive, primarily a PR position with elements of marketing. The ideal candidate will come from an agency background, and have substantial experience in lifestyle and/or fashion PR. Previous marketing experience would be useful but not essential!
There will be a range of tasks in the role, split between:
Written; researching and drafting press releases, producing copy for newsletters and preparing agendas, writing contact reports and other reporting, e.g. contributing to evaluation documents etc.
Media Skills; You must have a good contact base with good relationships with journalists in the fashion/lifestyle sector, compile press lists and be competent in using the Gorkana PR database, you will be able to identify publicity opportunities, be confident in sell-ins, be proactive and run competitions, reader offers etc., identifying publicity opportunities, confident in verbal approaches to journos, creative input into press campaigns and tactical activities, run media promotional activity and organise press events / photo calls etc.
Marketing and Events; Creative input and support on marketing campaigns, tactical activities and events and creative input and support for social media campaigns.
Client Liaison and Meetings; Preparation and contribution to internal team meetings, client liaison and active participation in client meetings, liaison with retail and restaurant tenants (for shopping destination projects), participation in presentations to existing clients and participation in new business pitches.
