Account Director – corporate comms & world issues – £40-50k – global PR agency – London
EXCITED by meaty ‘world issues’ – want to work for a corporate reputation team that are pushing the boundaries and working at senior level with some of the world’s most respected firms and brands?
This great opportunity for an Account Director or accomplished Senior Account Manager is based at a global PR agency that has grown it’s corporate affairs and reputation team by over 100% in the last year alone. Taking the brave decision to only take on work that truely complements the interests of the employees in the team has meant both exciting and varied work but also a multi-cultural team of corp comms specialists that is very refreshing change.
The team work across world issues – for example around women and children in crisis zones, climate change and fair trade and equally work for FTSE 100 companies in the energy, fmcg, science and innvoation technology space too – the work is challenging, complex and engaging. While the main team operates a strong corporate communications function, specialist pods provide employee engagement, csr, environmental & behaviour change and senior counsel. This is one of the most interesting corporate communications teams right now.
They are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in the world around them; in current affairs and in world affairs; you might speak a number of different languages, perhaps you have travelled to far-flung places or have unusual hobbies or interests – all this adds to the colour and diversity of their team and it’s what they look for.
You will of course have at least six years corporate comms experience and you must be from an agency environment. It’s incredibly fast-paced, so being able to multi-task is key as is being an exceptionally good writer and verbal communicator with confidence, gravitas and charm.
