1 year fixed contract – Corp Comms Manager – £35-40k – London
Fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Corporate Comms Manager to join a very high profile public sector body that touches every part of this country. This is a one year contract starting asap.
The role will work within the Strategy & Development team, supporting the corporate communications team to implement communications strategies to raise the organisation’s profile and efforts among opinion-formers and decision-makers. The role will involve managing the corporate press office function while supporting on key stakeholder communications to deliver on the multimedia corporate communications strategy, and directly supporting the Chief Executive and Chairman to maximise media coverage for each of the high profile campaign initiatives.
Working with a huge in house team of talented professionals the role will see you acting as the first point of call for media and dealing with enquiries; monitoring external events and stories; developing clear lines to take and messages to be shared with the industry; writing press releases; quotes and reactive statements and advising and briefing senior team with clear messaging to be used in interviews and at events.
You’ll also monitor the political news agenda and maximise the organisation’s research, key projects and results to effectively use current and timely stories to promote the profile and that of the wider Economy proactively to political and business correspondents.
This varied role will also see you supporting internal communications initiatives, events that enhance the reputation of the organisation as a centre of excellence as well as helping out with an crisis plans and stakeholder relations.
You will need to be experienced at handling the media, working ideally at a national level. You’ll probably have worked in the public sector before, but not necessarily. You’ll be a keen political news follower and be experienced at providing corporate reputation management to your clients or company.
A min of four years experience in a corporate comms environment would be required. You must also be able to start this role within the next two weeks.
