Communications Exec – London – £30,000 + 25 days hol + pension + healthcare
Fantastic opportunity to join the marketing communications team for the UK’s most-watched digital TV service. This position is about raising awareness of the products and services it offers and managing brand reputation in a competitive TV market. This role will support core business and marketing objectives through media relations and social media activity both to the trade and to consumer audiences.
Reporting directly to the Head of Communications you’ll take responsibility for a busy press offices, be heavily involved in integrated marketing campaigns, working closely with digital and marketing staff to help deliver the social media strategy via twitter and facebook. In terms of your media outreach, the role will see you deal with journalists in technology, TV, broadcast, retail, marketing and national news publications, bloggers and other online influencers plus you’ll get to plan and deliver events targeting the broadcast and TV industry!
Working within a small team but for a much larger corporate body, you’ll be used to being hands on – you’ll enjoy working in a team but equally be capable of working alone. The integrated nature of the team means you’ll have the chance to collaborate on projects, be involved in all-agency meetings and increase your understanding of the full marketing mix.
Experience required:
Ideally you will be at SAE or AM level if you within an agency or doing a similar role currently inhouse
You’ll be a fantastic writer, love writing content and press releases for both the trade and consumer national media
You’ll be proficient at posting newsworthy stories on twitter and facebook and understand how to engage with bloggers
You’ll have lots of creative juices and be able to come up with new ideas and ways to approach PR campaigns
You will be fearless when it comes to speaking to the media!
