HEAD OF COMMUNICATIONS, CAMPAIGNS AND MARKETING – HIGH PROFILE CHARITY EFFECTING CHANGE – £50k++ – LONDON

Exciting and challenging, heavy-weight communications job managing a large team at one of the UK’s most high profile charities.

You will lead a team of 25 people across campaigns, communications and marketing creating and implementing an effective integrated communications strategy that will drive policy and communications and keep the work the charity does at the forefront of government agenda, the media and public thinking. A newly created role reporting into the Director of Comms & Policy; this job comes with big ambitions, ‘hot’, topical subject matter that keeps the charity in the public eye and makes working here desirable and exciting.

Candidates must have a strong communications background with experience in campaigning, PR and broader comms. Charity or public sector experience is a real advantage. You must also have proven experience of managing large teams. The role will see you aligning teams to ensure best practice and quality output, securing cross-divisional buy in and company wide narrative. You’ll work with fundraising teams, digital teams and HR, in fact you’ll touch on every division and department in the charity to make sure the correct messages are being spread in the right places.

Role requirements:

Impressive eight year + PR and communications background

Understanding of integrated communications strategies

Ability to work across different teams, with different agendas and getting them on board

Excellent understanding of policy making

Ability and experience of effectively managing a large team, understanding what drives and motivates people

Up to date knowledge and genuine interest in consumer affairs
