Head of Communications – Maternity cover for 2015 – £100k – c.London

An iconic British brand in the restaurant space urgently needs a Head of Communications to cover maternity leave. Based in central London, the role will be central to moving the business forward during a very exciting year ahead, heading up the internal comms team and covering off corporate, consumer, trade and internal communications.

This is a senior level role for a talented all-rounder who strives to raise the bar.  Someone who understands how to generate high level buzz around a brand through PR and social, whilst protecting the business’ reputation through crisis management. You will also support the finance team to deliver investor relations, and be able to own and drive forward the risk work for the business as a whole.

For success in role you will need to demonstrable experience across consumer, trade and corporate PR, alongside liaison and sign off to Board level. You will have a combination of external and internal communications and cross channel delivery that includes social media platforms. You will bring with you a set of external contacts that include senior level journalists as relevant and third party agencies as required. It goes without saying that you will hold a degree level or equivalent qualification and possess demonstrable verbal and written communication skills. A natural influencer and able to challenge the status quo, the successful candidate will take an active part in business decision making at Board level in relation to comms.
